I have worn these boots several times throughout last year, either specifically for combat reasons or for cosplay/reenactment purposes. In both contexts, the boots are very comfortable to wear, and I had to break them in so the leather was less stiff against my feet. I love how the ties keep my sabatons secured, and that the Sharukhan staff were kind enough to give me a few extra leather strips just in case. After being taken down a few times in buhurt, only one of my ties got torn up, and that's ok because it means the boots themselves were unscathed from rough fighting. Lastly, when I wear the boots over my padded chausses, my legs feel like they're wearing compression socks, which feels great when I fight.
